Radio Maisha shifts to audio-visual as it turns 14

Radio Maisha, one of the leading Swahili radio stations in the country has moved from an only audio station to an audio-visual radio station as the station marked 14 years.
The station will now be streaming live on YouTube, and Facebook among other social media platforms, where listeners will have a chance to interact with their host virtually and watch them in studio live.
Standard Group's Chief Executive Officer Ms. Marion Gathoga Mwangi expressed her support for the move while highlighting the efforts by the station in adapting to the changes and the market's needs.
‘’Radio Maisha, your beloved station that has consistently entertained, educated, and informed you, is evolving into an audio-visual experience. You will not only listen but also watch your favorite award-winning programs live," she stated.

While also celebrating Radio Maisha having turned 14 years in the market Ms. Marion took the opportunity to boost her accolades such as being the winner of the KUZA People’s Choice Awards for four consecutive years, and for remaining the leading radio station in the country.
She expressed her excitement for the Standard Media Group being granted rights to broadcast the English Premier League.
‘’I am delighted to announce that Standard Group PLC has retained the exclusive radio broadcast rights for the English Premier League in Kenya for the 2024/2025 season,’’ she added.
Also while assuring all the stakeholders, partners, and audience of delivering quality content Marion encouraged all English Premier League fans to tune in to stations—Radio Maisha, Spice FM, and Berur FM for comprehensive and exclusive coverage of the matches throughout the season.
The acting Programmes Controller who is also a radio host Ann Njogu said the team is ready to provide quality content.
"We want to give our audience experiences in which they can see and hear us, it is a new dispensation,’’ she stated.
Musician Jua Kali, also present at the launch, took the opportunity to take pride in being the first Kenyan artist to launch the new studios.
