Learners in various informal settlement areas are all smiles after receiving uniform and stationery donations from well wishers.
This comes at a time when most of the households in the rural areas are still grappling with the effects of flooding following the heavy rains experienced in April and May.
The exercise was spearheaded by a partnership between Ta'awun Trust, Angel Welfare and Education Trust which donates learning materials and school wear to boost the learners’ self-esteem.
Speaking during the exercise, Yahya Dafala, Angel Welfare and Education Trust chairman says the exercise has been happening in Nairobi County since 2017, and aims to extend to other counties.
