Over 250 golfers to grace the 2024 Lion King of the course series grand finale at Nyali

An estimated 250 golfers will be gracing this year’s Lion King of the course golf series grand finale to be played at the par 71 Nyali golf and country club course in Mombasa County on Saturday.
Nandi bears and Machakos have confirmed sending a strong team of 45 golfers in this 8th Edition of the ICEA LION supported series that returns to the Coastal course.
They will be putting up a strong fight in an exciting showdown against their colleagues from Ruiru, Thika Greens, Nanyuki, Mombasa Sea-Link, alongside the series 2023 winner of winners and the 2024 winners from the home club.
Machakos Club's Veronica Muthiani emerged the 2023 'Winner of winners' in the grand finale at Nyali and home club's youthful golfer Nathan Ngweno was the Nyali series winner.
The King of the course convenor captain Joe Mboya of Machakos country club said, “Our team is energized and eager to compete in this year’s grand finale, and we can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable experience for players,golf enthusiasts, and spectators alike.”

Nyali Golf and country club captain Dinesh Sasan said, “We are pleased to welcome everyone to this year’s grand finale. The course is in excellent shape, and we are looking forward to a day of fierce competition, celebration and competition with fantastic prizes for the participants.”
Expected Chief guest of honor Philip Lopokoiyit said they are delighted to welcome the golfers in the event which not only marks the culmination of the 2024 series grand finale but also serves as a vital platform to connect, network and look forward to fostering these important relationships.
Meanwhile the Kirinyaga county golfers presents this year’s 5th Kirinyaga (ABAI) golf and family day tournament to be played at the Thika greens golf resort on the same day.
Club captain Ndiga Kithae confirmed yesterday that some 200 golfers have confirmed their participation and the course is in good shape and promised that it will be a thrilling day full of action.
“The event is gaining popularity and will be a fantastic day on and off the course with good vibes, good food, good music, dance, networking and awesome prizes to be won and much more. See you on the course, “said Kithae.
