Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has told President William Ruto to manage his anger and stop using bad language towards Kenyans demanding accountability.

She said Ruto’s rage, laden with insults, will not cow Kenyans from asking tough questions about poor economic policies and runaway graft.

Speaking in Ikolomani constituency, Kakamega County, Karua said President Ruto should focus on delivering what Kenyans are demanding and stop calling Kenyans bad names.

“We want to tell Ruto and his government to stop getting angry at Kenyans and instead work on what the people are demanding of him to do,” said Karua.

She added, “Ruto should contain his anger. The language he is using is inappropriate and not presidential; it does not bring harmony. People know what they want, and he should concentrate on fulfilling the pledges he made to Kenyans.”

Karua said the economy is performing poorly, contrary to the President’s assertion. She also highlighted the rise in abductions, the disappearance of his critics, and forceful arrests.

“Ruto should serve Kenyans, not foreigners. Our people are languishing in poverty due to a failing economy, which is worsened by multiple levies and taxes on Kenyans. We are seeing a surge in abductions of both locals and foreigners, silencing of government critics, and forceful arrests. We want the President to prioritise the interests of Kenyans, not foreigners,” said Karua.

She encouraged Kenyans to vote out the Kenya Kwanza government, arguing that it has made the lives of Kenyans more desperate.

“We want Kenyans to stop electing leaders based on emotions, handouts and tribe. Kenyans should vote out this government, which is based on lies,” she added.

The Narc Kenya leader maintained that they would continue playing the role of opposition to keep the government in check and to resist any excesses.

The President has criticised Kenyans, especially those on social media, for opposing the policies of the Kenya Kwanza government.

Two weeks ago, President Ruto was in Taita Taveta, where he stated that the country has an “evil spirit” opposing everything the government is doing.

Ruto appeared to be irked by Kenyans who were opposing the modernisation of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the Social Health Insurance, and the construction of the affordable housing units.

The Head of State would later term some governors as fools after they revealed that they were coerced by the national government to sign the leasing of a multi-billion medical equipment contract.

Additionally, a few days ago Ruto described those opposing the cattle vaccination program against diseases as ‘Stupid’ wondering how someone opposes such a program
