President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday, June 3 apologized to Rongai residents over the poor state of the four kilometers road from Rongai Trading Centre to Salgaa Trading Centre.

While expressing his disappointment over the condition of the road, President Kenyatta, who made a stopover at Rongai Trading Centre during a meet-the-people campaign tour, said that he was not aware of the state of the road and if he was, it would have been rehabilitated by now.

The Head of State said that he was ashamed that Rongai is home to the second President of Kenya, Daniel Arap Moi, and also to his family but the road was full of pot holes.

He said that he has taken the matter with a lot of seriousness and action will be taken soon to fix the road.
