Bizarre animal which looks like a tiger but barks like a dog baffles villagers

An animal which looks like a tiny tiger - but barks like a dog - has baffled villagers who can't quite decide which animal it actually is.

The mysterious pooch was discovered by a journalist and their news crew who were in the Bang Rakam District of Thailand reporting on drought conditions.

The news crew revealed that they spotted the dog after it ran out of a house near to where they were filming.

The owner of the dog revealed that she is often asked whether she has 'painted' or 'dyed' the dog to create his unique, stripy coat.

She also said that many young children have approached her asking: "Why does that tiger bark like a dog?" which she admitted always causes much amusement.

The dog's official breed is not clear, nor is the story behind its stripes.
