Police in Wisconsin, USA, say the pilot was killed in the terrible crash, which was picked up on camera by local TV station WAOW who were filming the scene.
A pilot has died following an accident in a small plane at an air show in Wisconsin.
Police say the pilot was killed in the terrible crash, which was picked up on camera by local TV station WAOW who were filming the scene near the Stevens Point Municipal Airport.
Sergeant Tony Babl of Stevens Point Police said that the 47-year-old pilot was pronounced dead at the scene - though the plane did not set on fire afterwards.
Local resident Steven Marquardt witnessed the crash as he watched the small plane perform tricks over the area.
He said: "He was doing his routine, and it looked like he was coming straight down right down behind the tower out in the field.
"Everybody saying he's got to pull out, got to pull out, and he just landed dead.
"It appeared he went out in the woods, there was no smoke, didn't see a fire, anything like that.
"People just kind of looked around, what's going on, and the guy over here's announcing: 'I think he's ok. I think he landed somewhere.'
"Nothing, he never pulled out of it."
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are conducting an investigation into the incident.
