Homa Bay County assembly has disbanded the County Public Service Board over alleged incompetence and corruption.

The board has been ordered by the assembly members to vacate office immediately.

The Ward Reps on Wednesday afternoon passed a motion to disband the board after its members were accused of irregularly hiring workers thereby inflating the wage bill.

The adoption of the motion tabled by Kabuoch South MCA Oscar Abote will compel Governor Cyprian Awiti to disband the board immediately and reconstitute it afresh.
