A multi agency team crackdown within Kericho central business district (CBD) recovered dozens of Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) stickers in one of the business premises. The team comprising the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Kenya Bureau of Standard (KEBS), Anti Counterfeit Agency (ACA), National authority for the Campaign against Drug Abuse (NACADA), the police and public health officers had been in the county since Tuesday. The business owner who escaped arrest, operates an electronic shop and a top of the range imported wines and spirits outlet at the back and has been using the KRA stickers to allegedly defraud the government millions of shilling in revenue. Kericho county commissioner Mukhtar Abdi said they had launched investigations over how the business owner obtained the KRA stickers.
