Elected leaders from Kakamega County in western Kenya have chosen Kakamega governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya to be their spokesman and link between the national and county governments. The leaders who included members of parliament from Jubilee and orange democratic movement supported the peace initiative between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga which they said would ensure the country focuses on development. The leaders spoke in Nairobi after a closed door meeting that was chaired by Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
