President Uhuru Kenyatta has today officiated the expansion of Ngong road phase one, a project that will cost 1.32 billion shillings. The 2.57 km road funded by the government of Japan through the Japan international co-operation agency (JICA), is expected to ease traffic congestion in the city. Traffic jams have been costing the Kenyan government approximately 147 billion shillings annually. The road will see it’s upgrading from a two lane to a four lane carriage way and is expected to be completed by July next year.
