In an exclusive piece last month we reported about old and sickly prisoners who could not be released because a certain committee had not met to decide their fate. Tonight we can report that 45 of those frail inmates walked to their freedom today after they were pardoned by the president. And as KTN’s Wilkister Nyabwa now reports, the very first release under the power of mercy committee was cause for celebration.
