The government says it’s targeting to vaccinate at least 10 million adults against Covid 19 by Christmas this year and 26 million by end of 2022. President Uhuru Kenyatta says the accelerated plan will be aided by a few swift actions that include the purchase of 10 million vaccines from Johnson and Johnson who’s the first consignment will arrive in Kenya in August 2021. The president made the announcement as he extended the current Covid 19 containment measures by two months as Duncan Khaemba reports.
