Curfew chaos leave two police officers manning Thika super highway road block seriously injured

Tonight, two police officers are receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital, after they were injured on Monday night when a lorry rammed into a stationery police lorry at a barricade erected along Thika road during curfew time. One of the officers suffered a fractured skull and right hand while the other sustained injuries on his left leg. The errant driver was today arraigned and charged for driving under the influence of alcohol among other charges. Meanwhile, police have clarified that all students travelling during curfew hours will be cleared subject to routine security checks and other verification processes.
