We start our bulletin tonight with good news to parents where they can breathe a sigh of relief after the government announced a reduction in secondary school fees in all public secondary schools. In a revised fee structure through a circular to all county directors of education, Education Principal Secretary, Julius Jwan, says the move was informed by the reduced school calendar in the next academic calendar, which has been cut by nine weeks. Parents will enjoy a subsidy of between 5,000 to 8,000 shillings depending on the category of the school.
