The Senate has hit back at the Council of Governors, over the statement made Thursday last week claiming that senators were extorting money from Governors through the senate county Public accounts and Investments Committee. The senators instead accused Governors of devolving corruption and dared the county bosses to record statements with the Anti?Graft body and directorate of Criminal Investigations. The Senate has maintained that it will not be derailed by sideshows in its role to oversight County Governments, on usage of public funds.
