Elders from Kobil village, Marakwet East constituency in Elgeyo Marakwet county conducted cultural rituals to appease the spirits of their missing kin and avert future tragedies in the region. They claim since the Marakwet east and west Pokot landslides, the ghosts of the lost kin have been visiting the flood victims at night asking them why they were abandoned.
