23rd April, 2019

Only two days of the long-awaited rainfall and hundreds of families in Akiriamasi village Teso south constituency, Busia County are stranded following a heavy downpour that has flooded their homes. The incident is occasioned by the overflow of river Malakisi that has been dry for the past months. According to residents properties of unknown value including household goods, poultry, and livestock were washed away by the floods. Several houses were also destroyed by the floods. They have appealed to be supported with basic needs and drugs.
