Volley ball coach Lungaho retains old team for the grand prix in Mexico

8th July, 2014

Contrary to expectations, the international women’s volleyball coach David Lungaho retained his old crop of players for Kenya’s volleyball world grand prix in Mexico. Safe for the Kenya prisons upcoming blocker Edith Wisa, the rest are regulars. The Kenya volleyball federation had earlier indicated a young crop of players will be preferred for the Mexico championship as part of building a team of the future. But the team released by Lungaho this afternoon shows he is eager to register his first win outside Africa. Left attacker Noel Murambi of Kenya pipeline and right attacker lydia maiyo of kenya prisons are back in the team. Those left out are Gaudencia Makokha, Triza Atuka, Joy Lusanaka and Agripina Kundu. The team leaves for Mexico on July 21st.
