Traders pledge to play by the rules after President Uhuru lifted the ban on importation of mitumba

The Mitumba Association of Kenya has said it will  comply with the set Covid?19 protocols on the importation of second?hand clothes, in line with the President's directive when he lifted the ban on the importation of Mitumba. Speaking in Nairobi today, the association's Chairperson Teresia Njenga said they had already started observing the compliance process and have stopped the importation of undergarments. Other directives issued include a pre?shipment fumigation certificate for their products.
