CORD leaders lead protest demanding the removal of IEBC top officials

Security has been heightened at the offices of the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission here in Nairobi ahead of a planned opposition CORD leaders protest to demand for the removal of its top officials. The opposition wants a new commission to head next years general election insisting that IEBC as constituted was not a fair referee.Police have warned against the rally and nairobi county commander Japheth Koome is set to issue a statement.The quest for the reconstitution of the electoral body have been supported by catholic bishops and the National Council of Churches of Kenya.Yesterday Jubilee leaders led by deputy president William Ruto warned CORD leaders on the need to follow the law in their push.
