The saga surrounding the leasing of Imbirikani land in Kajiado by Bamburi Cement has deepened after local leaders said they will resist the move. Kajiado governor Dr. David Nkedianye said the lease should not take place until all members of the Imbirikani group ranch are consulted. Nkedianye who was accompanied by other local leaders condemned last week incident in which two people died during protests over the plans to lease the land.
