New oil discovered in Kerio Valley Basin
16th March, 2016
Britain's tullow oil has announced it made an oil discovery in Kerio Valley Basin, which could mean opening up a second oil basin for development in the country. Making the announcement this morning, energy cabinet secretary Charles Keter said the discoverer is a big boost to Kenya in line of becoming an oil rich country. Kenya and neighboring Uganda have both made oil finds that but are yet to start commercial production, part of a string of energy discoveries along the east coast of Africa.
