Isaac Okero emerges the new LSK president

Kisumu based lawyer Isaac Okero is the new president of the Law Society of Kenya. Okero emerged winner in yesterday’s election after garnering 1,581 votes ahead of former LSK vice president James Mwamu who got 1,378 votes. Okero who is popular among young lawyers was a member of the "Okoa lsk" group that sought to bring change to the law society. Faith Waigwa, also a principal of Okoa lsk, was voted in as the vice-president while Mercy Mwarah Deche was elected as the Lsk representative to the judicial service commission. iebc is yet to announce the results for the positions of council members, Nairobi branch representatives, the representative to the disciplinary tribunal and upcountry representatives.
