Property worth Millions destroyed in KMTC Nakuru students' strike

11th January, 2016

Property worth millions of shillings was last night destroyed at Kenya medical training college Nakuru campus after students went on rampage. While armed with crude weapons, the angry medical students first disconnected the electricity supply and descended on private security officers at the main gate. They damaged external telephone systems. The students who said were reacting to oppression by the institution management also descended on dining hall cashier’s office, pulled down steal door and made away with cash safe with unknown amount of money. They also smashed glass windows in almost all the offices.
