BACK TO SCHOOL: Class one enrollment kicks off across the country

4th January, 2016

Class one enrollment kicked off across the country with different schools registering varying trends in the numbers of pupils enrolled. At the Moi avenue primary school in Nairobi for instance only 7 pupils had been registered by 10 am Monday morning while at Olympics primary school in Kibera over 300 pupils had been enrolled by the same time. The slow enrollment among most schools in Nairobi was blamed on the morning drizzle experienced in the city. While some schools heads say the enrollment is likely to pick up by the end of the week.
