Various Catholic Shrines in Kenya and their importance to the Catholics

A shrine is place held by groups of believers to be holy or sacred. It is a place dedicated to a specific deity, hero, saint or a figure of awe and respect; places at which such people are venerated or worshipped. The Kenya national shrine of Mary Mother of God is the main shrine for Catholics in Kenya, a shrine that has grown to become a national tourist site, attracting many people even non-Catholics.
