AMREF HEALTH CONFERENCE: AMREF hold an international conference

African governments have been challenged to formulate policies that will address causes of ill health across Africa. That is the call that was made in the in the just concluded Africa conference on health held in Nairobi. AMREF Africa director added that there is need for the African content to invest more in quality health services in order to improve the output in the continent. The participants also called for accountability, efficiency and value for money in use of health care resources by both public and private health stakeholders. A research done by the world health organization revealed that 23 out of 47 countries lack functional health research systems with 24 out of 47 countries have no health research policy.
