A security officer was seriously injured this morning following an attack on Mandera governor Ali Roba’s convoy. This occurred as the governor was being escorted to his office in Mandera town. an explosive device is believed to have been buried on the road and it went off just as the governor and his security detail took the road towards the Mandera county headquarters. Governor Ali Roba says he now fears for his life as it is not the first time that he appears to have been targeted.
