Facebook is celebrating a milestone - its 10th birthday. Launched by a group of friends as a tool for college students, the social media platform now boasts more than 1.2 billion users. Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook from his dorm room at Harvard university and it is the world's biggest social network, with one in every seven people now connected across the globe.
