NACADA chairman John Mututho urges county governments to ban alcoholic drinks packaged in plastic
2nd October, 2013
Newly-appointed NACADA chairman John Mututho has urged county governments to ban the sale of alcoholic drinks packaged in plastic bottles. Speaking during his first county tour in Murang’a county, Mututho said the counties had powers to make their own by-laws that will curb the increase of illicit liquor in their areas. He warned that the increased sale of beers packaged in plastic bottles will pave way for illegal brewers to introduce harmful drinks in the market.
