Efforts to reduce incidences of human-wildlife conflict by the Government

The government is stepping up efforts to protect the country’s wildlife from poaching as it seeks to ring fence the crucial tourism sector. Speaking as she launched the world travel award nomination campaign today, cabinet secretary for EAC, trade and tourism, phylis kandie said poaching menace was unacceptable and lauded the passing of the wildlife management bill, but also called on the communities living around wildlife facilities to work with the government to tame the menace, and also reduce incidences of human-wildlife conflict.
