15th November, 2014

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has said insecurity at the border of turkana and baringo counties was purely competition over massive natural resources found in kapedo. Speaking at eldama ravine, the senator said the region was reach with geothermal power deposits discovered at silale hills and demanded for proper marking of the boundary between the two counties to avoid future unnecessary conflicts. Gideon also pledged through the senate to ask the commission on revenue allocation to increase funding to the counties from the current sh.220 billion to sh.350 billion in the next financial year.
