Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung’u has appointed Humphrey Wattanga Mulongo as the new Commissioner General of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).

In a gazette notice dated August 22, Ndung'u said that Mulongo will serve for a period of three years effective August 22, 2023.

He replaces Githii Mburu who tendered his resignation in February 2023, after serving for three years and seven months.
After his exit, Rispah Simiyu took the reins at Times Tower in an acting capacity.

Mburu’s exit came in the midst of a shake-up that affected several heads of departments.
