Worrying statistics indicate that over 300 Kenyan girls were sneaked into neighbouring Tanzania to undergo the outlawed practice of female genital mutilation while some 50 girls were sneaked across the border into the Kenyan side for the same in the last year. These figures come at a time when stakeholders in Migori are intensifying the war against the cut ahead of the long December festive season when it is rampant.
