Farmers in some parts of the country currently harvesting food crops even as millions face starvation due to prolonged drought. Farmers in Nyandarua county are enjoying a bounty harvest to the extent they are feeding their animals on the crops even as over four million Kenyans battle the effects of drought where an estimated 2.5 million have died.
