The body of missing National Lands Commission Communications Deputy Director Jenifer Wambua (pictured) has been found lying at City Mortuary.
Authorities say it was brought to the morgue after having been found dumped at Ngong Forest.
Police in Kilimani were investigating the disappearance of Wambua, who is the commission’s deputy communications director.
She has not been seen since Friday, and a missing person report was filed at the Capitol Hill Police Station by her husband.
Joseph Komu, her husband, told The Standard that he had searched for her in different places in Nairobi, including hospitals and police stations, but had yet to trace her.
Yesterday Komu reported at the Kilimani Directorate of Criminal Investigations offices to record a statement.
He said he had also obtained CCTV footage from NLC offices that showed Jeniffer going into the agency’s building at 6.35am on Friday.
She was again captured on camera leaving the offices at around 10am. She was alone. Komu said a security guard informed him that he had seen Jeniffer leaving the main gate.
“I dropped her outside her offices shortly before 7am on Friday and then went to work. We speak to each other regularly, and on that day I called her at around 10am, but she did not answer,” he said.
Komu said he did not think there was any reason to panic, and figured his wife was busy at work or in meetings.
