Mugithi singer Samwel Muchoki aka Samidoh on Friday shared the grades he got in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), saying he wanted to be a lawyer.

Through his Facebook page, Samidoh, who was 'index one' in his school, said he only failed in Mathematics, scoring above average in all other subjects.

Having sat for the examination in 2004, the father of five said his current profession is miles apart from what he aspired to do but is grateful nonetheless.

"Huyo index number one wa kwenu anafanyanga nini siku hizi. I aspired to be a lawyer. Saa hii mimi ni One man guitar AKA Singing policeman.

"Dreams not shattered bado nakula mbuku," he wrote.

His followers quickly took to the comment section to opine on his grades, some teasing him that his prayers were answered in the form of Karen Nyamu who is a lawyer.

Kinuthia: leta ya highschool tuone those football scores

Ondimu: Nataka Kuona CRE ulikuwa na ngapi..Bado unataka Kuwa lawyer ama tuachie hapo?

Asher: And God blessed you with a lawyer in Karen. Mungu aliona wewe ukuwe law enforcer.

Chemaluk: Atleast you are in the right path; currently you are a lawyer by association

Damaris Kiongo: Nimekwama hapo kwa examination 2004 kweli mimi ni pioneer.hio mwaka nilikuwa nimezunguka Dubai yote...so tukiongea Una Nyamaza n when we advise you unatii

Esther Gitau: Lazima ungetafuta lawyer.dream has to be accomplished

Despite his musical prowess, Samidoh has often made headlines for other reasons, including his relationship with Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu.

In January this year, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had to lay down the law to the two lovebirds following a Dubai incident involving Samidoh's ex Edday Nderitu that almost turned chaotic.

"Samidoh, you know how we love you and your songs. Don't take your family affairs abroad. We don't want foreigners to know so much about us," he told a bowed Samidoh.

Gachagua, who was speaking during the burial of Pauline Nyokabi, sister to Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, warned that Samidoh who doubles as an administration police officer, would be punished if he did not put his house in order.

"Wewe Samidoh ni rafiki yangu, na unajua vile tunakupenda na nyimbo zako lakini kuna pahali unatuangusha kidogo. (Samidoh is a good friend of mine and we love his songs but he is causing us embarrassment.)," said the Deputy President.

He added; "Samidoh needs to control his people because as the African proverb says 'an elephant never tires carrying its tusks'."
