SportPesa’s Mega Jackpot has risen to an all-time high of Sh191,848,544 this week.
To win this, gaming enthusiasts will have to correctly predict the outcomes of 17 football matches from various leagues, which will be played this weekend.
The Mega Jackpot increased after gamers missed, some narrowly, the right predictions of all the 17 matches in last week’s games. However, those who got at least 15, 14, 13 and 12 predictions out of the 17 correctly, got Ksh441,544, Ksh43,022, Ksh6,382 and Ksh1,570 bonus payouts respectively, for their impressive efforts.
Some of the matches whose outcomes gaming enthusiasts will have to predict correctly to win the record Mega Jackpot amount or at least some bonuses include, the Hull City versus Swansea duel that will be played this Saturday and the Bournemouth versus West Ham match that will take place on the same day among others.
“It is indeed a high amount at stake, an amount never before seen in this country’s history of lotteries and jackpots; but we shall make it a reality for the lucky winner. We are more than ready for whoever will be lucky enough to get the 17 predictions correct, come end of these games late on Sunday,” said SportPesa’s chief marketing officer Kester Shimonyo.
The Mega Jackpot which started at Sh100 million in September last year is yet to be won.
The world over, jackpots are progressive, whereby they keep rising by value until won.
SportPesa’s second highest jackpot, known as the midweek jackpot, starts from Sh10 million.
Shimonyo said the company will offer the winner financial advice to ensure prudent spending of the money.
“We would also like to encourage our customers to bet responsibly and keep track of their gaming expenditure to avoid impulse spending,” he added.
