After posting about the progress of her farm, American R&B star Kelis Rogers, popularly known as Kelis, has attracted criticism from concerned Kenyans who claim she is encroaching on wildlife land.
The Milkshake hitmaker shared a video on Instagram explaining the importance of fencing the area to keep wildlife, including elephants, out.
“Nothing more important than a good fence. I will be farming, and this solar-powered fence will keep the crops safe. It’s all done by hand,” read the caption accompanying the video.

Kelis has continued to express her affection for Kenya months after her first visit to the country when she was spotted attempting to cross a busy street in Nairobi’s CBD.
An avid farmer, Kelis first shared a video of herself in Kenya back in January. Since then, she has toured various parts of the country and met prominent personalities.
However, Kelis has defended her actions, addressing concerns raised in the comments section of her post.
