Digital content creator and influencer Mungai Eve has spoken out about harassment she faces from men who flood her direct messages (DMs) and react negatively when she ignores them.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Mungai shared her frustrations about the persistent advances and insults she has been receiving.
Screenshots she posted showed how some men lash out with offensive messages after being turned down.
“Leo mniruhusu I rant a bit!! I am sick and tired of some men! You get mad I ain’t responding to your dms! Like boy why are you mad?? That’s entitlement. It’s a privilege to access someone, and I will always protect my space,” she wrote.

She voiced concern about men refusing to respect her boundaries, even after she explicitly stated her disinterest.
“Men who get so mad that you’ve turned down their requests, ooh twende date, ooh can I buy you lunch, can we date! If a woman says a no, it’s a no! Sitaki vitu zako na sikutaki mbona unajam?”

Mungai revealed that some men go to extreme lengths, including incessantly calling her on WhatsApp.
“You get my WhatsApp, you keep buzzing me with calls, ooh can I call you! Just text me, please. Ati unaniambia unanicall ndio niongeleshe your friends. First of all, sikujui! Let’s respect each other’s privacy and decisions.”
The influencer said she typically ignores such advances but feels compelled to respond when someone gets hold of her personal number.
“Most times I ignore unless mtu sasa amepata my number. I respond thinking it’s business, but yoh. Wengine nao ukiwakataa wanakutusi.”
In a parting note, she clarified her point:
“It’s okay to hit up on someone, but don’t harass them! That’s the point here. Otherwise, leo some men are so pissed off for calling out the BS! Muache tabia mbaya.”
