Golf legend Tiger Woods has confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
“Love is in the air, and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together,” Woods wrote in an Instagram post.
He also requested privacy, adding, “At this time, we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”
Vanessa Trump divorced Donald Trump Jr. in 2018 after 12 years of marriage, with a statement saying, “We have decided to go our separate ways. We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time."
Woods, a 15-time major champion, is known for valuing his privacy—partly due to the public scrutiny he faced after his highly publicized infidelity scandal in the 2000s.
In November 2009, reports of Woods’ extramarital affairs surfaced, leading to intense media attention. The situation escalated after he was involved in a mysterious car crash outside his Florida home, fueling speculation about domestic trouble. Soon after, multiple women came forward claiming affairs with Woods, resulting in public embarrassment and a personal crisis.
His marriage to Elin Nordegren, with whom he has two children, ended in divorce in 2010. The scandal had significant personal and professional consequences, with Woods taking a break from golf to focus on his personal life and undergoing therapy for sex addiction. However, he later made a remarkable comeback, reclaiming his status as one of the greatest golfers in history.
On Instagram, fans reacted to Woods’ post with skepticism. Some questioned whether he had written it himself.
“This is the most un-Tiger Woods-like post I’ve ever seen,” wrote @seasaltrun.
@golfcentralohio echoed the sentiment, commenting, “No way TW wrote this.”
@coachdan_golf added, “Love Tiger, but this post confuses me deeply.”
