Damaris Muriithi, popularly known as Dama Wa Mobile Spares, has fired back at Wanja Nyarari after the latter lectured her about a donation.
In a post written in vernacular, Wanja suggested, “You can never satisfy them, just teach them how to fish!”
Dama responded sharply, “Show whoever you want how to fish, but do it without making noise. We’ve been donating for ages, do you hear me?”
Netizens were quick to weigh in on the exchange.
Sila Baibe agreed with Wanja’s point: “I believe Wanja Nyarari said it in good faith... and she had a valid point.”
Jacqueline Wangui, however, criticised Dama, calling her “ignorant” and urging her to “invest in educating herself.”

Others sided with Dama. Gichui Kinyanjui said, “Wanja should show people how to fish and leave Dama to donate Unga. Why does she want to dictate how Dama uses her money?”
Some compared the donation to political tactics. Wanjiku Gatheru remarked, “Soon you’ll see Murima folks chanting ‘Wa Spares’ for Women Rep – Kiambu.”
Faith Kanyingi echoed similar sentiments: “You see them get elected because of donations like this, only to do nothing because they have no real agenda.”
Both Wanja and Dama are no strangers to the limelight. Dama recently made headlines after a public altercation with Joy Kiengei, the second wife of Rev. Ben Kiengei of JCM Church, which sparked rumors of an affair with the church founder.
Dama also helped raise funds for comedian Henry Desagu’s medical and rehabilitation costs, alongside musician Samidoh and Gatundu North MP Elijah Njoroge Kururia. The trio raised Sh1 million for Desagu’s treatment.
