Activist Morara Kebaso made an appearance at Neno Evangelism Centre during Sunday Service, where he declared his intention to run for the presidency in the upcoming elections.

In a viral video circulating online, Pastor James Ng’ang’a appeared amused by Morara’s presence and remarks during the service. The moment took a humorous turn when the pastor noticed that Morara was not wearing socks.

"Na hauna soksi?" Ng’ang’a asked, sparking laughter from the congregation.

The preacher also made a lighthearted remark about Morara’s age, saying: "Hii Gen Z hii! I wish ningekata 40 years nirudi. Una miaka 29? Songa songa wewe, ongea nikiwa siko hapa."

Seizing the opportunity, Morara outlined his vision should he ascend to the presidency.

"Nimekuja na hawa viongozi kuwaomba muweze kuomba na sisi na kutembea pamoja nasi katika safari ya kukomboa hii nchi. Ile pesa yenu yote ambayo imeibiwa, mimi nitawashika, nitawaweka jela, na tutairudisha ili kuwasaidia wale wasio na kazi," he declared, drawing cheers from the congregation.

However, Pastor Ng’ang’a, still chuckling, eventually cut him off and invited other speakers to introduce themselves.

Pastor Ng’ang’a and Controversy

Pastor James Ng’ang’a is no stranger to controversy. Recently, he fired back at critics who accused him of refusing to help Milka Moraa with her rent arrears.

In a widely shared video, the preacher took aim at the media, accusing them of focusing only on the negatives while ignoring his charitable efforts.

"Those of you in the media, look for your agemates to play with. I see you saying I did not help that woman. Why haven't you highlighted cases of the people that I've helped?" he questioned.

He further emphasized that his church is not a government institution:

"My church is not the government of Kenya, I am not chosen by men. Open your church and help the needy. But come here and tell me you have not paid rent? This is a place of worship. If you think I will pay rent for you, wrong number!"
