Embattled car dealer Khalif Kairo has publicly apologised for his past actions and expressed a desire to start afresh.
This comes after a series of controversies that saw him lose his business, face legal battles, and appeal to the public for financial assistance.
His troubles began a while back with a public fallout with his business partner, Clement Victor Kinuthia.
Kairo claimed he was forced out of 'Imports by Kairo,' a company he co-founded, due to coercion and intimidation.
He alleged that after building the brand from 2017, internal conflicts led to his resignation and the loss of his stake in the company.
While clearing the airwaves on the same, Kinuthia, however, presented a different narrative. He claimed that he and another partner were the primary funders of 'Imports by Kairo'.
He alleged that Kairo's persistent approaches led them to start the business, but internal disagreements over management and respect led to their fallout.
Amid these business disputes, Kairo was known for flaunting a lavish lifestyle on social media, often showcasing luxury cars and expensive dates.
This public display of wealth contrasted sharply with his recent plea for financial assistance, leading to mixed reactions from the public.
Fast forward to a few months later, legal troubles compounded his challenges. He admitted that these legal battles led to significant losses, including his showrooms, staff, and personal assets.
In a series of heartfelt tweets, Kairo acknowledged his past mistakes and extended an olive branch to those he may have wronged. He expressed optimism about rebuilding his life and business, emphasizing the importance of learning from past errors and moving forward without grudges.
"Despite everything I have gone through, I am actually very upbeat about rebuilding again. There's something beautiful about learning from mistakes and coming back bigger and better. To my rivals, blowing off my candle won't make yours shine brighter. The sea is very huge," he posted.
He also addressed those who may have held grudges against him, noting that he hopes they now feel satisfied and that any past conflicts are settled.
He declared that he harbors no ill will and is embracing a fresh start, urging anyone he may have offended to forgive him.
Additionally, he extended his own forgiveness to those who may have wronged him, affirming that he has healed and is ready to move forward without any lingering issues.
