Dallas rapper Yella Beezy (real name Markies Deandre Conway) has been indicted on capital murder charges for allegedly orchestrating the killing of fellow rapper Mo3 (real name Melvin Noble). The indictment, handed down by a Dallas County grand jury on March 18, 2025, accuses Beezy of hiring a gunman to assassinate Mo3, a rising star in the rap industry.

On November 11, 2020, Mo3 was chased down and fatally shot in broad daylight. Authorities say the rapper was pursued by an armed suspect after his vehicle was ambushed.

Video footage from the scene showed Mo3 fleeing on foot before being gunned down multiple times in the attack.

Shortly after the murder, authorities arrested Kewon Dontrell White, who was indicted in 2021 for carrying out the execution.

White is already serving a nine-year federal sentence for firearm possession linked to the case. However, recent developments suggest that White was merely the hitman, acting on orders from Yella Beezy.

The indictment highlights the longstanding tensions between Yella Beezy and Mo3, who were both prominent figures in the hip-hop scene.

Yella Beezy was arrested on March 20, 2025, and is currently being held without bond in the Dallas County Jail. Under Texas law, a capital murder conviction involving financial remuneration (paying someone to commit murder) is punishable by either: Life in prison without parole or death penalty

Yella Beezy, who gained fame for hits like "That's On Me" and "Bacc at It Again", had been facing legal troubles even before this arrest. In the past, he was charged with sexual assault, child endangerment, and unlawful possession of a firearm, though some charges were later dropped.
