A conversation between media personality Andrew Kibe and food influencer Boina has sparked outrage among Kenyans. Kibe appeared on Boina’s cooking show, but his remarks during the segment left many viewers angry.

In the video, Boina prepared sandwiches and presented them to Kibe. Their conversation took a turn that did not sit well with many.

Kibe asked, “So this is the meal that you would bring for me after being in the kitchen for one hour?”

Boina replied, “I would never find myself in your kitchen unless as an uncle.”

Kibe interrupted, saying, “Just keep fighting it. Wengi wamefight ka wewe, strong.”

Boina responded, “Unajua boyfriend anawatch? Ata besides boyfriend…”

Kibe cut in again, “But ulisema hauna mwanaume.”

Boina continued, “But I don’t think you are my type though, in the best way possible. I think unaweza ongea nishangae. The mindset kidogo ni tofauti.”

Kibe added, “You need a kaloose fukusui somewhere, who chases after you everywhere.”

Boina said, “A kafukusui ni relative.”

Kibe explained, “A kapuny guy, that’s what you need. You don’t need someone who can consider you to be a woman. You see, for you to be a woman, you need to find a man. Sasa wewe hutaki man cause man atakutoa hapa.”

Boina responded, “Unaendela kuongea and I just realise you are not my type.”

Kibe concluded, “Yea exactly, because you’ve already set yourself up. If you remove that mentality me and you would be friends.”

In another part of the show, Kibe compared Boina to beauty entrepreneur Phoina, asking who was more popular. Boina said Phoina was more financially successful, adding that she had yet to reach that level.

However, what angered Kenyans most was when Kibe asked Boina who had a better body between her and Phoina. He added, “I hadn’t seen your body.”

The comments triggered a wave of reactions online.

An X user wrote, “Watching Andrew Kibe force Boina to compare her body to Phoina was beyond weird and creepy. The way he undressed her with his eyes was uncomfortable to watch. Boina handled it with grace and professionalism, but let’s call it what it is. At 90 years, Kibe is a creep. End of story.”

One YouTube user wrote, “Men, learn to read the atmosphere when a woman is respectfully telling you no. It's very low class of Kibe. My 12-year-old daughter loves Boina. Boina, keep up the good work on safeguarding your morals.”

Another, Hussein, said, “C'mon now, we all know Kibe very well and so is Boina. Inviting him on her show, she would have set conditions before everything was aired if she minded about her content or what was coming with Kibe.”

One viewer added, “If Kibe being Kibe is a problem, why not scroll past content that has him on it? Lol. Dude is getting attention for free without asking for it.”

Brazo Kebut on X said, “I've followed Kibe since when he was shooting balcony content, and I can tell you that his content is that you consume selectively. He is not whole.”

Another X user noted, “Kibe is known for saying the most outrageous things already. You mean the host innocently brought him to the show not knowing the sort of content that's coming?”

One more user added, “Content creation is versatile, but I think our society is slowly adapting to that fact. We shall be okay. Probably years later, we shall be encouraging our grandkids to listen to guys like him, but as for us, we ain't there yet.”

Andrew Kibe is known for his controversial remarks on his podcast, which often make headlines. Despite the criticism, he has a large following. He won the Social Media African Star of the Year award in October 2023 and an international Social Media Star of the Year award.

Boina rose to social media fame in 2023 after sharing TikTok videos of her daily eating habits. Her content has fascinated many, with some comparing her appetite to that of construction workers.
