Akothee: I am focused on my Master's at the moment, not music

 Akothee

Kenyan entertainer Akothee this week said she is fully focused on completing her Master’s degree and has halted all music projects.

The outspoken influencer said she does not intend to release any new music for the next two years as she pursues personal growth.

She added that she would change her profile picture once she attained her second degree.

“Someone asked why I haven’t changed my profile picture since my last graduation. My dear, I have a goal, and that goal is to complete my master’s and my CHRP certification.

“This is my target for the next two years, and it's the project I’m currently focused on. I don't have new music or any other projects at the moment to entertain you, I am working on my personal growth, I’ll change my profile picture when I achieve a new title,” she wrote.

Adding: “Even a pregnant woman gains a new title after giving birth—so for now, we're still pregnant Good morning, Team Personal Development!”

Earlier this year on her birthday, Akothee reflected on her achievements saying she was proud of how far she had come and naysayers cannot dim her light.

She recalled her past struggles but acknowledged that they propelled her to greater heights and she is now a better person.

“Failing a thousand times taught me a thousand ways that didn't work. Life is full of challenges, but success comes from continuously learning and growing.

“Despite raising children in broken dysfunctional families, enduring failed relationships, and navigating successful businesses, I never gave up. I managed to achieve my degree at 42 years and became a director of a school with 70 pupils and 18 teachers at 42,” she wrote.

Adding: “At 42 I made sure MIGORI RESIDENTS HAVE A COMMERCIAL FLIGHT…I don't celebrate my birthdays, I count my achievements in the years I have lived. You don't need to remind me of my failures, I am busy counting my achievements, don't tell me who I am, you don't know me.”
