Bishop T.D. Jakes, the renowned pastor of The Potter's House Church in Dallas, experienced a health scare during a sermon on Sunday.
The incident occurred as he was concluding an hour-long message on stage. Witnesses say Jakes appeared to shudder, prompting those nearby to rush to his aid.
A statement released by The Potter's House on Facebook confirmed that Jakes received immediate medical attention and is now stable.
"Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a slight health incident during today’s service and received immediate medical care following his powerful hour-long message. He is stable and under the care of medical professionals. We are grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community,” the statement read.
The church has not revealed further details about the cause of the incident or if Jakes required hospitalisation.
