Wells Fargo Human Resources Manager Willis Ayieko succumbed to severe head injuries.

Government Chief Pathologist Johansen Oduor says Ayieko’s head bears bruises and bleeding in the brain.

In postmortem results released today, Oduor said the deceased’s body also had missing tissues from the face, around the lips, ears, cheeks and chest.

During the postmortem conducted at Lee Funeral Home, Oduor said they also identified injury marks on his wrist perhaps due to handcuffs.

There were also some Bruises on the knees and the lower limp with Oduor saying the body had decomposed to a great extent.

Mr Ayieko went missing on Friday, October 21 after attending a funeral vigil in Nyamninia, Siaya County.

His orange pick-up truck was later found abandoned near a petrol station in Sabatia, Vihiga county which is just a few kilometers from where his body was found.

Ayieko’s body was found floating in a river at Doho village, in  Gem a few days after he went missing.

This comes as the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested a suspect linked to the brutal murder.

The suspect identified as Victor Ouma was apprehended in Nairobi's Dandora Phase IV estate on Monday night, after being tracked for several days. 

He is currently detained at Muthaiga Police Station.

"The suspect, held at Muthaiga Police Station, was placed at the crime scene through forensic analysis," the DCI said, noting that the investigation is being conducted by a joint team from the Homicide, CRIB, and Operations units.

Detectives believe the suspect had rented a residence using proceeds from the crime.
